Joining our trusted local business network…
…easy as 1-2-3!
Step 1: get in touch
First thing’s first: say hello. Whether that’s via our online contact form, via socials, or directly with an existing member, reach out and make contact.
We’ll be very happy to tell you more about our network and help you arrange a visit.
Step 2: attend a meeting
Before you join, you want to know whether it’s the right fit. Come and see how our meetings run, who else is there, and what it’s all about.
You’ll see how we uphold our values, how we network, and how we’re different from other groups. We’ll also tell you about how it all works and answer any questions you have.
If you like it, you can apply to join.
Step 3: apply to join
If you think you’d be a good addition, apply to join Perth Trusted Partners. We’ll assess your application and let you know if we think you’d be the right fit.
Note we only ever have one member per industry / niche, so please be aware that a slot may not be available for your particular business.
Frequently Asked Questions
When and where do you meet?
We meet every Tuesday, 9am – 10:30am. We alternate between in-person and remote Zoom meetings.
When we’re meeting in person, it’s at a venue in Perth city centre with private room hire, teas, coffees and pastries.
What will my first visit be like?
You’ll be greeted by one of PTP’s founders and get a chance to ask questions during a 1-to-1 chat before the meeting starts.
Then you’ll be introduced to the whole group and attend a full meeting, as you would if you were a full member.
Are there points, traffic lights, incentives and punishments?
Is it like being back at school?
No! We’re all adults running local businesses, trying to do what’s best for our customers and for each other.
We only expect you to recommend other Partners once you’ve grown to trust them and know that they’re competent, reliable and worth recommending.
We’re not here to make money out of our members; you won’t get a red mark against your name if you forget to bring a special guest every week.
We also understand if you have to miss meetings or if your commitment ebbs and flows. We all lead busy lives and we know what it’s like.
What kinds of businesses do your existing members have?
We already have a thriving network of local businesses, covering everything from healthcare to taxes. You’ll have plenty of brilliant partners to get to know, learn from, and eventually recommend to your own network.
Note we only ever have one member per industry / niche, so please be aware that a slot may not be available for your particular business.
Why do you only allow one Partner per industry?
A few reasons.
We want everyone in the group to feel they can speak openly and honestly about their market or niche without worrying that they’re giving away inside info to competitors.
We want each Partner to be the expert that everyone else would turn to for a question in their field. If you’re our resident expert in your industry, you’ll be the partner we rely on and recommend when anyone needs you.
We also don’t want industry competition or friction to get in the way of our friendly, open way of working.
How much does it cost?
Unlike other groups, we charge monthly fees to keep things flexible. No signing-up for a year and paying thousands up-front.
It’s just £50 per member per month.
What are my membership fees used for?
First and foremost, the fees cover the cost of venue hire for our fortnightly in-person meetings (breakfast included!). Money for meeting supplies is also taken out of the membership kitty.
Any money left over is saved up for one of two purposes: a team outing or sponsoring a small business through its first year of PTP membership.
What if I decide to leave?
Unlike some other networking groups which can tie you in for months or even years at a time, we have a 30-day notice period.
If you find that you can’t make the meetings or can’t get the most out of the group, just let us know and we’ll wish you well on your journey.
I’m ready to join. What now?
